DESCRIPTION:Statera Energy (UK) Limited is proposing improvements to the ex
 isting Ness Weir (Dochfour or Telford Weir)\, located where Loch Dochfour
 \, the River Ness and the Caledonian Canal meet at Dochgarroch\, about 7 k
 m southwest of Inverness.\nThe Ness Weir II project aims to:\n\n\n 	Rais
 e and strengthen parts of the weir and embankments\n 	Install new control 
 gates\n 	Create new fish passes\nThese changes are designed to help manage
  Loch Ness water levels more effectively\, support renewable energy\, prot
 ect habitats\, and reduce flood risk.\n\n\nPublic Consultation Events\nBef
 ore submitting a planning application\, Statera is holding a first round o
 f community consultation events to share details of the project and gather
  feedback:\n\n\n\nWednesday 5 November 3.30–7.15pm. Dores Village Hall (
 IV2 6TR)\n\nEveryone is welcome to attend\, view the exhibition materials\
 , and speak directly with the project team.\nFrom 4 November\, all inform
 ation and feedback forms will also be available online at  www.nessweir2.
