SMI Group Instrumental & Fun Sessions
Group instrumental learning sessions provide an opportunity for community members to learn instruments in a more formal setting. We have six musicians who teach a range of instruments to provide teaching to groups. The group learning sessions (for ‘P1’ age group to adults) focus on group learning for piano/keyboard, guitar/ukulele, violin and drums in small groups. The sessions are 30 minutes in duration and delivered during the school academic year on Wednesdays at Farr Hall. Some sessions are delivered for 15 minutes to individuals depending on the ability mix of learners.
Fun Music Sessions
Kodaly fun music sessions are for the younger participants in the ‘P1 and under’ age group. They are a fun introduction to music for young children, and pave the way nicely for them to choose an instrument (including voice) as they grow up.
If you have not previously registered an interest with a member of the initiative, please do so by filling form B below or available on request by contacting us on strathnairnmusicinitiative@gmail.com.
