A 65 turbine development at height 250m (to tip of blade) is proposed at Glenmarkie, accessed from Stratherrick & Foyers, with a proposed HGV delivery route through Strathnairn. Strathdearn, Stratherrick & Foyers, Strathnairn and Laggan as host / neighbouring communities will all be impacted.

Wind Farm

RES first announced plans for Carn na Saobhaidh in November 2024 and wrote to the Community Council to introduce the proposals. Since then RES have been carrying out studies on the plans - RES first proposed 29 turbines at a tip height of up to 200 m. Following further studies and investigation, RES will present plans for 24 turbines at a tip height of up to 200 m, with an overall site generating capacity of 172.8 MW.
