Both applications are connected to facilitating or enabling ‘temporary’ construction works at the (consented) Aberarder Wind Farm (SSE) & associated Grid Connection (SSEN).
PLANNING APPLICATIONS & DEADLINES
- 26/01739/FUL – Temporary Construction Compound
Formation of a temporary construction compound with site offices, welfare units, parking and materials storage.
Location: Land 385m SW of Old School House, Dunmaglass.
The original response date was 28 August 2026. An extension has been agreed with Keith Gibson, Planning Officer, to allow the Community Council additional time to consult the community.
- 26/02433/FUL – Temporary Material Laydown Area & Helispot
Temporary material laydown area and associated helispot for the Aberarder Wind Farm Grid Connection.Location: Land 835m SE of Dunmaglass Mains, Dunmaglass, Inverness.
The original deadline of 10 August 2026 has been extended to 1 September 2026, following agreement with Niamh Coyne, Planning Officer.
Please clearly state which planning application your comments relate to.
Responses should be received as soon as possible, and no later than 1 September 2026 for consideration by the Community Council.
The Community Council will collate the views received and take these into account when submitting its response to The Highland Council
