Planned realignment of A9 at Dalmagarry

From Friday 17 April both lanes of the A9 will be realigned at Dalmagarry to support construction of a new bridge on the A9 dual carriageway. This includes a new access road and junction for Ruthven road.

What you need to know

Overnight temporary traffic signals and a convoy system will be in place for four nights from 19:00 on the 13 April, 500m south of Ruthven Road access junction, until 06:00 Friday 17 April.

From Friday 17 April both lanes of the A9 will be diverted onto a temporary alignment, 1km south of Ruthven road and re-join the existing A9 1km south of the B9154 Moy south junction.

This realignment will be in place until early 2027

Access to Ruthven road will be provided via a new junction 100m south on the temporary alignment. This new junction and access road will be clearly signposted.
