Residents meeting to be held at Farr Hall on Friday 15th November 2pm – 7.30pm regarding the proposed Wester Lairgs Sand and Gravel Quarry Application By Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd.
Any successful planning application will affect the whole of our Strath or generations to come by:
- ∙Substantive noise and dust pollution
- ∙Interfering with our use of a walking & cycling amenity
- ∙Destruction of visual amenity close to an area of Special Scientific Interest
- ∙Adversely affecting the local biodiversity and Pictish remains
- ∙Further increasing the number of HGVs on our rural roads
All residents of the Strath are invited to come along and discuss their concerns, put forward their opinions, ask questions and highlight any objections they have to the Wester Lairgs Quarry planning application.
Your individual voices need to be heard so that any objections put forward to the Highland Council can be amplified and strengthened. The Community Council are in support of an objection due to a number of concerns already being expressed by
residents. If you are able to support in the objection process by volunteering your time we would really be pleased to hear from you. Contact one of the representatives at the meeting and note your willingness to participate or email
