Strathdearn & Wind Power | Has saturation point been reached?

This week The Herald has published a balanced and considered article about our neighbouring community of Strathdearn and it’s shared viewpoint on wind farms.
It’s well worth a read.
Collectively – as a community – Strathdearn embraced wind power/farms early on. Rightly Strathdearn – and its active Community Development Trust – fully recognise it has been shored up by the first generation of windfarms in the area. Early windfarms have directly contributed to a healthy community benefit fund; in turn enabling community-led development and other local gains. But now, with the prospect of a further 8 windfarms – and all reaching new heights – as a community it concludes it has reached and will exceed a saturation point.
