“Since we acquired this project in late 2023, we have been working to progress Loch na Cathrach pumped storage hydro towards construction.
We have held in-depth and constructive conversations throughout this period with The Highland Council and listened to community feedback. We are on track to start construction at the end of 2026. We would like to invite local communities and those with an interest in the project to join us at a Drop-In event to meet the team and get an update.
We will be at Dores Village Hall from 2-8PM on Thursday 2 July.
The main topic we will be discussing is the construction transport route – we have identified an alternative route that will reduce overall traffic numbers and carbon emissions. We will also have general updates and information about the project, the expansion of Torvean Park and Ride and the realignment of the Essich Road.”
